Kodak CleAR is licensed by Signet Armorlite and a list of coating labs that offer Kodak CleAR is available here:
http://www.signetarmorlite.com/professional/index.asp?page_id=143

We provide Kodak CleAR custom coatings for wholesale labs only. If you are an eye care doctor or consumer you might try using this list to find a lab willing to provide coatings for the public.

If your lenses already have an anti-reflective coat, we can attempt to strip the old coating off and re-coat them. This is not always successful depending on the type of coating, how old the coating is and the lens type and material.
  • We are usually unsuccessful stripping high index 1.60 and higher lenses.
  • Signet Armorlite polycarbonate lenses and trivex lenses will always fail during strip. The chemical stripper clouds the frontside of these lenses almost immediately.
  • Glass and poly lenses that have an extremely old AR coating are likely to be ruined during stripping also.

Some AR coatings have been dip hardcoated or have a thin foundation layer that acts like a hardcoat. The AR coating will usually come off the lens, leaving that thin layer clouded or crazed.

We are able to coat any lens type, new or old, edged or uncut. However, we only provide AR coatings for wholesale laboratories. If you are not a lab you need to take your lenses to an optometrist. The optometrist will send them to their lab and the lab will determine the nearest AR coating facility for the coating you choose. By having your lenses coated locally you will get them back sooner and the shipping costs will be a lot less.

Yes, we can coat anything that will fit into our fixtures. We have recently done camera lenses, microscope lenses and watch crystals. Contact us if you have a non-ophthalmic product. If we can't coat it we probably know someone who can

Trivex, high index Transitions lenses and Signet Armorlite Poly lenses seem to be impossible to strip without clouding the cx side hardcoat.
